This month's issue of the Binghamton Review features an interview with Adam Kissel, Director of ÃÛÖ­ÏãÌÒ's Individual Rights Defense Program, in which Adam discusses ÃÛÖ­ÏãÌÒ's speech code ratings and what has earned Binghamton University (BU) its current "yellow-light" rating on Spotlight: The Campus Freedom Resource.

The interview, conducted by CFN member Adam Shamah '11, is timely, given the problems FIREhas confronted at Binghamton in recent months. Torch readers should be well aware of the abhorrent treatment of social work graduate student Andre Massena by the BU Department of Social Work, which ordered his suspension for posting flyers critical of the social work department, later tried to expel him, and now faces allegations of retaliation against Massena in the classroom.

Those able to pick up a printed copy of the Review will note a separate article on the latest efforts of the social work faculty against Massena, as well as an advertisement for Adam's planned speech at BU this evening, entitled "Liberty in Peril: The State of Freedom on Campus." The speech and accompanying Q&A session, to be held at 7:00 PM in the Susquehanna Room in BU's University Union, is jointly sponsored by the Review, College Republicans, College Libertarians, and the Student Association's Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs.
