Mary Griffin
FIREStaff Speaker

Mary Griffin is a Senior Program Counsel on the Policy Reform team. A 2017 graduate of Villanova Law, Mary has spent nearly 10 years collaborating with college administrators to revise policies to ensure they meet First Amendment standards. In addition to this work, Mary also advocates for other positive efforts on campus to encourage free speech, including the adoption of the Chicago Statement and educational programming on freedom of expression. Mary believes students are empowered to use their voices to discuss any topic when their university sets clear expectations in compliant, well-drafted policies in an atmosphere that energizes students “to discuss any problem that presents itself.”
